It is responsible for the construction of paper document in the whole library. It has five service groups: Chinese Interview Group, which takes charge of the collection of Chinese books for the whole library and data exchange between libraries; Chinese Cataloging Group, which takes charge of cataloging Chinese books; Chinese indexing Group, which takes charge of indexing Chinese books and uploading books data to National Library Cataloging Center; Foreign Languages Cataloging Group, which takes charge of acquisitions, cataloging and processing of foreign books and journals; Chinese Newspaper Group, which takes charge of acquisitions, cataloging and processing of Chinese journals and newspapers.
